About Talbot Custom Homes
Built on principles. Driven by purpose.
Talbot Custom Homes was founded on a single conviction: that homeowners deserve more than a contractor who shows up, collects a check, and disappears. They deserve a partner — one who communicates honestly, builds with integrity, and treats every project as if it were their own home.
Our Story
Why we started — and what keeps us going
Talbot Custom Homes was built out of a frustration that every homeowner who has ever gone through a construction project knows: the contractor who promises the world, then goes quiet once the deposit clears. The budget that grows without warning. The timeline is extended without an explanation. The finished home that doesn’t match the drawing.
Adam Talbot started this company with one purpose: to do it differently. To prove that a home builder could be both excellent at construction and genuinely great to work with. That transparency wasn’t just a marketing word — it was a commitment to show you every line item, every schedule, every photo from the job site, every day.
The name on the door is Adam Talbot’s. The work reflects his standards. And the motto — “Do the Right Thing — Always” — is not a tagline. It’s the answer to every question about how we make decisions when things get difficult, because they always do at some point in a construction project. When they do, we do the right thing. Full stop.
Today, Talbot Custom Homes serves Greater Orlando with a rapidly growing portfolio of custom homes, ADUs, and renovations that reflect the same unwavering commitment to quality, honesty, and the true client partnerships that started this company. Every project is personal. Every client matters. Every home is built to last.
“Do the Right Thing — Always.”

The People Behind the Work
Meet our team
Adam Talbot
Owner & Founder
After working in facilities management and construction over the last decade, Adam founded Talbot Custom Homes on the belief that the construction industry could — and should — do better for customers. His philosophy is disarmingly simple: do the right thing, always. Be honest about costs. Be transparent about timelines. Be present when problems arise.
Under Adam’s leadership, every Talbot Custom Homes project benefits from his personal attention and his commitment to excellence without compromise. Whether in front of customers or behind the scenes, Adam is actively involved in every project from initial consultation through final walkthrough.
Keith Dukes
Director of Operations
Keith brings over 15 years of construction and engineering experience to Talbot Custom Homes. His background spans project management, structural engineering coordination, field operations, and trade scheduling — giving him a comprehensive command of every phase of a residential construction project from initial site work through final finish.
Keith is the operational engine behind every Talbot build. He manages the daily and weekly rhythms of each project — overseeing build schedules, maintaining quality control checkpoints, and ensuring that the updates you receive accurately reflect the stage of your project.
Brian Doughty
Strategic Development Manager
Brian grew up in a blue-collar family in Detroit and became the first in his family to attend college, ultimately earning three master’s degrees and building a career grounded in discipline, service, and operational excellence. He began his professional life as a Police Officer in Metro Detroit before transitioning into IT and then spending more than 25 years in healthcare, where he helped build and scale multiple organizations.
After he and his wife built six homes — and wouldn’t hire any of those builders again — Brian became convinced that residential construction needed a better standard. When he met Adam and Danielle, he recognized the integrity, purpose, and client-first mindset he believed the industry was missing. As Strategic Development Manager, Brian develops the systems, processes, and training that supports the TCH mission and strengthen the team. He is committed to doing whatever is needed for the TCH family and helping build a culture defined by accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
Angela Landry
Business Office Manager
Angela is the operational backbone of Talbot Custom Homes, bringing over two decades of critical residential construction industry experience to the team. Her extensive background encompasses vital office administration, on-site field support, and expert management of relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors. She diligently manages procurement and provides comprehensive administrative support to every team member, ensuring that every project runs smoothly and efficiently from start to finish.
Andres Grisales
Warranty Supervisor
A student of Architecture with more than 16 years of experience in maintenance and construction, Andres serves as the primary point of contact following the completion and closing of the new home or renovation. His keen eye for detail is vital in reviewing the quality and functionality during the final stages of construction. He is dedicated to ensuring that every home meets the high standards of a Talbot Custom Home and that all post-construction concerns or questions are addressed efficiently.
Jonathan Colon
Construction Superintendent
A Central Florida native who grew up in Lake Mary, Jonathan was inspired by his grandfather’s construction business and has been involved in the industry since a young age. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management at Seminole State College. As a Construction Superintendent, his responsibilities focus on in-field operations and project management — scheduling, labor power, material delivery, jobsite coordination, and managing customer-based interactions with the homeowners of his designated projects.
What We Stand For
Three pillars. One standard.
Every decision we make, from how we price a project to how we respond to a problem, runs through these three values. They are not aspirational. They are operational.
Respect
Respect is the foundation of our work. It means treating your time, your budget, and your vision with the same fierce protection we would give our own. We don’t just show up when we say we will; we honor your schedule. We never dismiss a concern—we address it head-on. Respect is woven into the details: calls are returned promptly, complex construction concepts are explained simply, and we never forget that you are the expert on your life, while we are simply the experts you are trusting to build your home.
Trust
Trust is not given — it is earned through consistency. We earn your trust by doing what we say we’ll do, every time, throughout the entire project. When something doesn’t go as planned (and in construction, something always does), we communicate with transparency, explaining our plan to address it, and following through.
Transparency
For us, transparency means clear communication and zero hidden agendas. We provide detailed proposals, not vague numbers that grow. You get a project schedule to hold us to, not just an estimate. Transparency also means honest, prompt communication about challenges — a needed budget flex, permit delays, or backordered materials — because honest information is always better than comfortable silence. Crucially, we’ll keep you informed of the key decisions you need to make and when we need them to keep your project on track.
Rooted in Central Florida
Talbot Custom Homes is based in Orlando and serves the broader Greater Orlando area — from Lake Nona and St. Cloud in the south to Lake Mary and Sanford in the north to Clermont and Winter Garden in the west. We build across 13+ Central Florida communities, and we know each one: the soil conditions, the county building departments, the HOA landscapes, the neighborhoods where buyers are building, and the areas where land values are growing.
This is not a franchise operation placing project managers in markets they’ve never worked in. This is a local company, led by people who live in this region, who have built in this climate, and who are invested in the quality of construction across these communities.

Build with people who answer the phone
The first step is a conversation. No pressure, no obligation — just a genuine discussion about your vision and how we can bring it to life.
